Why Blogging?
Personally, I love that I can write my thoughts, my ideas and my passions where anyone interested can find them. Blogging allows me to get my thoughts where people can choose to read them and if they like them, reply back to me and become a part of my community. I love reading the comments I get and helping people when I can.
My blogging has introduced me to a wonderful group of people on the Year of the Affiliate forum, many of whom I’ve met on Bootcamps. I love that people enjoy my blogging about my Countertop Convection Oven where I share the recipes I love cooking. I have a blog about Tannylouise, the character I play on Tibia, a MMORPG. I’ve also met readers and authors through my Lots of Book Reviews blogging.
Blogging allows me to reach people I would never have met without writing a post and getting them interested enough to read it.
Why Blogging?
I’m also blogging because I want to make money online. That’s why I got started and that’s my goal. One day I will have replaced my full time income with an online income and it will be my choice where I choose to work. I love my full time job but having financial independence not depending on anyone else has been a goal of mine for a long time. Blogging will deliver that to me and I’m working closer to that goal all the time.
There are a heap of resources available, communities I can join, niches I can blog about, products I can sell, affiliate sales, and much more, all of which can help me to reach my goal of financial independence.
Why Blogging?
I have a number of friends who are using their blogging to help finance their lifestyles.
One is a published author who wants to reach his audience directly without having to go through a publisher. Another is travelling around Australia in a bus with her family and using her blogging to fund that lifestyle. Another friend has a successful online sports business which he developed after he started blogging. Another friend is a stay-at-home mum who blogs. Other friends are developing websites for their customers and blogging about their successes.
Some of those friends and others friends are also writing about blogging and you can read their posts at the bottom of this post.
Are these any of the reasons why you are blogging?
Why do you blog?
What do you blog about?
Let me know and see what fantastic passions and interests we all have.
My friends have been writing about blogging as well. Check out their posts.

I think your story could be the same for many other bloggers.

Bloggers write because they are passionate about something and the internet has given them (us) the perfect vehicle to share that passion.
Being able to make an income for it is a real added bonus

Hi Jan, doing something you love and getting paid for it is a fantastic bonus. What more can you ask for
Blogging is a great way to connect with other bloggers and to also share what is happening within your life. Its great to be able to read bloggers posts and find out what is going on in their life. There are many blogs online, and its a great way to find out if others are writing about the same topic as what your blog site is all about.
Cheers

Hi Rita. I have to agree. Blogging has really made a difference in my life.
The freedom that comes with earning a living through blogging is what really appeals to me. Like you, I love my 9 to 5 job but there are other possibilities out there and the hours just disappear when I am blogging.
