In my About page, I talk about how I’m a bit of a Jill-of-all-Trades.
All that really means is if I’m not a master of some skill, I know enough to know I can do it, I can learn to do it or that I have no interest in it at all. If it’s the last one, I need to find someone who does.
When it’s time for you to learn a new skill, think about this before you rush into it.
- Do you need it right now?
- Will it take too long to learn?
- Are you only doing this because you ‘think’ you should know how to do it?
- Is getting started something you will delay hoping it will go away?
If you answered yes to any (or all) of these questions, don’t spend time figuring how how to do it, ask your network. Someone will either know how to do it, know someone who does or will recommend a course they saw.
Ask for skills from people who are either experts, use those skills or are starting out learning them. You will be surprised just how many people will respond with help.
So, can I help you with anything? Send me an email or comment below
